THE WORLD’S BEST AMATEUR dirty FILM FESTIVAL
Welcome to HUMP!, a one-of-a-kind celebration of human sexuality, creativity, and artistry. Founded in 2005 by Dan Savage, HUMP! began as an experimental call for Seattle locals to anonymously submit homemade sex tapes. The overwhelming response birthed a groundbreaking festival showcasing short, erotic films by real people for real people.
HUMP! champions diversity and sex-positivity, presenting films that explore a broad spectrum of body types, ages, sexualities, genders, and kinks. With a five-minute film limit and playful "extra credit" challenges, the festival has become a beloved annual event featuring up to 23 short films screened exclusively in theaters. After each screening, audiences cast their votes, and the top films receive cash prizes before their sole DVD copy is ceremoniously destroyed to protect filmmakers' privacy.
Over the years, HUMP! has evolved from a local phenomenon to a touring festival, captivating audiences in over 50 cities across the U.S., Canada, and Europe. In response to the pandemic, HUMP! introduced streaming options, broadening access and sharing ticket revenue with participating filmmakers.
Now in its 19th season, HUMP! continues to premiere annually in Seattle and Portland before embarking on a global tour. Audiences worldwide can experience this unique festival through in-person screenings or by streaming past and current lineups from home.
Submit your film or join us in celebrating the world’s most creative expressions of sexuality!
