The Role: Email Marketing Specialist

We're seeking a dynamic Email Marketing Specialist with expertise in MailChimp to join our vibrant team. In this role, you'll blend creative content creation with data-driven strategies to engage our worldwide subscriber base and promote our unique events. You'll craft compelling marketing emails, orchestrate targeted campaigns for individual events, and navigate the complexities of event promotion with ease. As part of our close-knit team, you'll thrive in a fast-paced environment, readily lending a hand across various tasks and adeptly shifting gears as needed. A crucial aspect of this position is your open-mindedness and acceptance of diverse adult lifestyles and preferences. Our definition of "NSFW" is unique, so comfort with viewing and promoting adult content is essential. While familiarity with HUMP! and/or Savage Love is preferred, it's not a requirement – your adaptability and enthusiasm for our mission are what truly matter.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement email marketing campaigns using MailChimp

  • Develop and maintain email marketing calendars for various events and initiatives

  • Create compelling email content that aligns with our brand voice and event themes

  • Segment our subscriber list for targeted campaigns

  • Analyze email performance metrics and provide insights to improve engagement

  • Collaborate with the social media team to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms

  • Assist in coordinating cross-promotional campaigns with event partners and sponsors

  • Help manage our subscriber database and ensure compliance with email regulations

  • Contribute to overall marketing strategies to boost event attendance and brand awareness

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in email marketing, with proficiency in MailChimp

  • Strong understanding of email marketing best practices and metrics

  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft engaging content

  • Familiarity with basic design tools like Canva for creating email visuals

  • Experience with A/B testing and data-driven decision making

  • Knowledge of CAN-SPAM and other relevant email regulations

  • Comfort with adult content and sex-positive themes

  • Familiarity with HUMP! and/or Savage Love is preferred but not required

Work Environment

This role is Seattle based and part-time (20hr/week) with the potential to grow into a full-time position. It includes both in-office and remote work, scheduled three days per week, Ideally Monday through Wednesday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. (Open to schedule flexibility) You'll be part of a small, dynamic team where flexibility and willingness to help across different areas are highly valued.

Compensation 

  • $33.65/hour
